Our Mission
Columbia University Facilities is dedicated to supporting the core educational and research missions of the University by maintaining a safe, beautiful, and functional campus environment that meets the varied needs of students, faculty, staff, and our guests. Our main responsibilities are to maintain the buildings, grounds, and physical plant of the main campus, Baker Field, and Nevis Laboratories; to design and build new facilities; to lead campus planning and space management efforts; to ensure public safety; to provide and manage apartment housing for faculty, students, and staff; to assist Columbia affiliates in finding off-campus housing; and to manage parking. We accomplish this work through our main service departments: Capital Project Management, Construction Business Services and Communications, Finance and Administration, Operations, Planning and Space Management, Public Safety, and Manhattanville.
Medical Center Facilities Management is responsible for all services at that campus, including housing and parking. |
