In memoriam: Jérôme Cornette

A graduate of the Department of French and Romance Philology at Columbia University, Jérôme Cornette passed away on April 23 2008 at his Richmond home. His two main areas of expertise were modern French literature and film studies. His teaching interests also included French cultural and intellectual history, the reception of French classicism, Proust, contemporary French literature, Francophone literature and culture from Africa and the Caribbean, critical theory, and transnational studies.

Jérome Cornette was Assistant Professor of French and Film Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University.
