FGSA Representatives
The French Graduate Students Association of Columbia University (FGSA) was founded in 1940 and is one of the oldest associations of its kind. It was created to give graduate students a sense of community, as well as a voice and an active role in the Department's activities
In April of each year, French Graduate Student Association representatives are elected for the following academic year. FGSA representatives serve from September 1st to August 31st. They are the voice of the graduate students at the Department's Executive Committee meetings and serve as the contact point for all association matters.
For a list of FGSA events and activities, including membership meetings, please consult the FGSA Calendar.
The 2008-2009 representatives are:
- Sarah Lazur (President)
- Mary-Alice Farina (Vice President)
- Elizabeth Marcus (Financial Director)
- Johanna Magin (Activities Officer)
