COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY LESBIGAY
CUBBOARD
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The Lesbigay Cubboard is an unmoderated,
electronic bulletin board intended to
serve as an informational resource and
discussion forum for issues of interest
and concern to the Columbia Lesbian, Bisexual
and Gay community. Topics relevant to
this Cubboard include:
- Columbia policies relating to gays,
Lesbians and bisexuals
- Campus civility, discrimination, homophobia
- AIDS awareness and other LBG health
issues
- Lesbigay studies and campus curriculum
reform
- Campus events of interest to the Columbia
Lesbigay community
- Local and national events of interest
to the CU Lesbigay community
... though this is not intended to be
a restrictive list of topics.
The Lesbigay Cubboard is sponsored by
GABLES-CU, the campus organization for
Faculty and Staff Lesbians/Gays/Bisexuals
and Supporters. It is also intended for
use by students and all other interested
Columbians.
Our hope is that those contributing to
this list will do so civilly and with
a generous respect for the diversity of
orientations, preferences and needs present
in the Columbia Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual community
and at Columbia in general.
Stephen Davis (daviss@columbia.edu) is
director of the list.
