Letter to the Editor

It is not the opinion of GABLES-CU that everyone riding the subway above 116th Street is a "thug," as suggested in the article "Gay Games IV: Opening Ceremonies," which appeared in the September 1994 issue of Community News. Nor do we believe that only "pickpockets" reside north of the Morningside Heights campus. We respect our neighbors in Harlem and the Bronx, and of course our colleagues at the Health Sciences campus.
