Air Force Major Acquitted of Sodomy Charges

Air Force major Debra L. Meeks was acquitted of sodomy charges in San Antonio, Texas. Meeks, 41, was accused of having a two-year live-in relationship with civilian Pamela Dillard. Refusing to state her sexual orientation during the trial, Meeks successfully argued, through her lawyers, that the case against her violated the Pentagon's "don't ask, don't tell" policy.
