Division of Government Affairs
The Division of Government Affairs serves as liaison between Columbia and government at the federal, state, and city levels. It advocates on matters of importance to the higher education community and in support of all aspects of Columbia’s educational, research, and public-service missions.
Maintaining continuous communication between the University and its partners in government is an important part of the staff's work. Students, faculty, and staff are informed of legislative and regulatory developments, while government officials and other public-policy makers are helped to understand the contributions made by Columbia and America’s research universities.
