Congressional Internships (CI)
An internship in a congressional office or other government organization provides an excellent opportunity for you to gain valuable knowledge and exposure to the many facets of government, from constituent relations to the procedure, politics and policy of the nation's capital. In the past, Columbia students have worked for senators and representatives from both parties, both in D.C. and atlocal offices. Others have found summer positions with various federal departments and agencies, not-for-profit organizations and think tanks. And a select few have won coveted internships in the various offices of the White House.
