Erk Grimm joined the Barnard faculty in 1994. He teaches such courses as Introduction to German Literature and Civilization, From Text to Screen: German Literature and Film, and The Visual and the Verbal Arts. Professor Grimm is affiliated with Barnard's Comparative Literature Program.
