Dr. Kaya earned her PhD in Government from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in September 2006. Her dissertation explored how great political-economic powers shape globalization by utilizing US-EU trade disputes at the WTO as case studies.In this context, she has also written about the USA's and the EU's bilateral and regional trade agreements.In addition to political-economic globalization and its governance, she has been researching about global social justice, particularly global poverty and inequality.Her current research agenda primarily builds on the subjects of her doctoral dissertation.She is the co-editor (with David Held) of Global Inequality:Patterns and Explanations (Polity, 2007).
