Housing

Campus Housing
University housing is available on a limited basis to students in the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program. Student demand for this housing regularly exceeds the allotment. Priority is given to students moving from great distances, and only students who are pursuing the premedical program full-time (through a combination of 9 credits of coursework and medically related volunteer service or employment) are eligible for housing. An information package with an application for University housing is sent to all students who are admitted to the program.

For further information visit the University Apartment Housing website at http://www.columbia.edu/cu/ire.

Off-Campus Housing
The University also maintains an Off-Campus Housing Assistance Office (OCHA) which provides advice on finding rentals in non-Columbia owned buildings. OCHA maintains a Web site and online database of available rooms, apartments, and apartment shares in the greater metropolitan area. OCHA is located at 419 W. 119th St. (lower level). This office’s full services are available only to admitted students, so you must bring your acceptance letter with you to prove your enrollment status.

You may view the listings (without the contact information) online at http://www.columbia.edu/cu/ire/ocha.
