Advising
Postbac Premed advisors take a holistic approach to advising, designing an academic plan that will meet
students individual intellectual and career goals. Throughout the program, students will have the same dedicated advisor, who will advise them on their course of study, ensure they are gaining valuable clinical and research experience, and guide them through the medical-school application process. Advisors also constitute the Premedical Committee who determine institutional support

Appointments
Advisors are available to meet with students both during walk-in hours and by appointment. The office maintains a library of reference works of interest to premeds when they are planning to apply to medical school, a binder of student feedback on medical school interviews, a binder of student descriptions of veterinary field positions, and files of information on medical schools.

Students should first consult the Premedical Advisor Schedule prior to calling for an appointment.

In addition, several academic departments offering premedical courses run help rooms, staffed by teaching assistants and faculty members, where students can turn for assistance with their course work. Students can also meet with course instructors during regular weekly office hours.
