The Columbia-JTS Joint Program

First launched in 1954, the Joint Program between the School of General Studies of Columbia University and List College of The Jewish Theological Seminary.allows qualified students to experience the best in both secular and Jewish education.

Joint Program students undertake a rigorous curriculum and earn two bachelor’s degrees simultaneously: one in liberal arts at the School of General Studies (GS) and one in Jewish studies at List College.

As a Joint Program student, you’ll be fully integrated into the Columbia undergraduate curriculum, taking the same classes with the same faculty and earning the same degree as other undergraduate students at Columbia.

Joint Program students are active in student life on campus and, after graduation, go on to distinguished careers in a wide range of fields, including law, medicine, finance, politics, journalism, and Jewish and secular education. Joint Program alumni are part of a global alumni network that consists of more than 250,000 Columbians throughout the United States and in 180 foreign countries.
