ASCE Journal of Architectural Engineering

Call for Papers -- 9/4/95

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is requesting paper submissions for consideration in the new 'Journal of Architectural Engineering.' The 'Journal' is a quarterly, technical, refereed publication of the ASCE.

The objective of the 'Journal of AE' is to provide a forum for dissemination of information related to the practice of architectural engineering. The Journal aims to inform its readers of the engineering and technological issues concerned with architectural engineering, to facilitate the exchange of information between architects and engineers, and to support the advancement of engineers, architects, and construction personnel engaged in activities related to building systems in general.

The technical level of the 'Journal of AE' is intended to be similar to the AISC's 'Engineering Journal' -- so that engineers can read it without first taking a theoretical refresher course in the areas covered by its articles. Like the 'Engineering Journal,' we will assume that most of our readership has an undergraduate engineering background (probably in structural or mechanical engineering), and possibly some masters level work in the area of any particular given article.

Drafts of papers should be between 2,500 and 10,000 words long and sent in duplicate with draft artwork directly to the following address:

...Journal of Architectural Engineering
...ASCE
...345 East 47th Street
...New York, NY 10017-2398

If you would like some feedback before submitting a complete paper you are welcome to send a one page abstract to:
