Topography-Irresisible Linkage

Architecture and Urban Design Strategy:

In order to support growth and density of Morningside Heights area and Columbia University expansion. I am proposing to use two parks, Morningside and Riverside Parks, with its outstanding topography as a clue for university expansion, which will institute a New strong East and West Connection.

With integrating unversity and community together, I am also proposing to use more densification of university's properties and to have more open space spreading throughout the area.

The examined area of 116th street is considered as this New East and West Connection which there are two parks at ends and campus in center. Therefore new Linkage can be created along this street and intergrate into those area of university's properties within the Morningside Heights neigborhood.
