The Department of Statistics, the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, and the Division of Management of the Columbia Business School cooperate in offering a graduate program in operations research. Interested students should consult a member of the committee at an early stage of their graduate careers.
Degree Requirements
The requirements listed below are special to this committee and must be read in conjunction with the general requirements of the Graduate School.
For the Ph.D. Degree
The student must meet the Ph.D. requirements set by the department in which he or she is registered. The program is arranged in consultation with a member of the Interdepartmental Committee on Operations Research.
Financial Aid A comprehensive program of financial aid, including fellowships and appointments in teaching and research, is available to students in their home departments.
