The Department of Statistics, the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, and the Division of Management of the Columbia Business School cooperate in offering a graduate program in operations research. Interested students should consult a member of the committee at an early stage of their graduate careers. All applicants to this program, however, must apply through the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science. The applicant must be admitted in the usual way to one of the participating departments. A strong undergraduate background in mathematics is essential.
