All students holding external fellowships are strongly urged to consult the terms of their fellowships for delineation of types of expenses covered by the fellowship and qualifications such as residency, course of study, status, and so on.
The GSAS Financial Aid Office is responsible for processing some external sources of fellowship. Fellowship monies for tuition, health fees and medical insurance offered through Columbia University are credited directly to each student’s Columbia University student account to cover the appropriate charges (e.g. tuition). Such fellowship students are responsible for all other fees such as the student activity fee, University facilities fee, and the International Students fee.
