The Graduate School does not grant deferrals. Students must register in the term
specified for admission. A student unable to register then, but wishing to be
admitted in a subsequent year, must submit a new application and all required supplemental documents. Since the new application will be reviewed in the context of a different pool,
there can be no guarantee of readmission. Credentials become the property of
the Graduate School and will not be returned to the applicant. Students
denied admission may reapply in a subsequent year if further training or
experience is presented to strengthen the application. However, applicants who have not been offered
admission to the same department or program for three (3) consecutive years
should not apply to GSAS.
