Application Status

To check the status of your application, you will need your Applicant ID number. This number starts with "C00" and will be emailed to you shortly after receipt of your application.
Application materials received are not posted to the online tracking system until after an application has been submitted.

There may be a delay of 10 - 15 business days in the posting of information to the online tracking system. So please check periodically before contacting the Admissions Office and because we are processing thousands of applications and supporting documents at this time, posting will take longer than usual. However if you still have a question or wish to amend any information concerning your application, send an email to gsas-admit@columbia.edu. using "Change to Application Information" as the subject line. You must include your first and last name, date of birth and the department or program you are applying to in the text of the message.

Please note: Letters submitted through ApplyYourself do not automatically post to our online tracking system. Their receipt must be manually entered by this office, resulting in a delay between the notification of submission of the letter by your evaluator and posting of its receipt to our tracking site.
