GSAS Political Science Department Reunion

GSAS and the Department of Political Science were pleased to host alums to a departmental reunion Friday September 30 and Saturday October 1, 2005. The event began Friday evening with a welcome reception in Faculty House, featuring introductory remarks from Dean Henry C. Pinkham, Political Science Department Chair Andrew Nathan, and distinguished emeritus professors including Julian Franklin, James Morley, Marshall Shulman, Alan Westin and Howard Wriggins. Saturday offered a full day of stimulating panel discussions and wrapped up with a closing reception held in the Lounge on the 15th floor of the International Affairs Building. Over 65 alumni attended and enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with former classmates and professors. Our profound thanks to Department Chair Andy Nathan for putting together a fascinating program, Departmental Administrator Kay Achar for overseeing this complex event, and to the hard-working Caroline Cardarople not only for taking the photographs but for handing the RSVPS and innumerable other tasks that made the reunion such a success. For more details about the program, plus information about joining a listserv to make connections with fellow alums, please visit the Reunion Scrapbook at http://www.columbia.edu/cu/polisci/.
