Students
may add and drop classes without financial or academic penalty during the
Change of Program period. For exact dates of the Change of Program period,
check the Academic
Calendar in section II.A.. Most classes can be added and dropped by phone
or by Web during this period. Some classes may be blocked for phone or Web
registration because they require proof of approval. A student who is not able
to add or drop on the phone or Web must go to the Registrar’s Office to change
his or her program. He or she must bring a completed Add/Drop form with
approval signatures when adding or dropping in person. After the end of the Change
of Program period, students may no longer add courses. There is no tuition
refund on classes dropped after the Change of Program period.
Most
students may continue to drop courses for several weeks after the Change of
Program period. No money is refunded for classes dropped after the Change of
Program period. Access to phone and Web registration stops after the Change of
Program period. Students who wish to drop a class must come in person to the
Registrar’s Office with an Add/Drop form. For the final date to drop a course,
see the Academic
Calendar in section II.A..
Failure to
attend classes or unofficial notification to the instructor does not constitute
dropping a course. Students who stop attending without dropping officially will
be assigned a grade.
