Registration: Dropping and Adding Courses
Students must register for the courses they wish to attend, and they may not attend courses for which they are not registered.
Failure to attend classes or unofficial notification to the instructor does not constitute dropping a course. Students who stop attending without dropping formally will be assigned a grade.
The Registrar's Office provides further information online about registration procedures.
During the First Two Weeks of the Term
Students may drop and/or add courses during the change of program period in the first two weeks of classes. Students are not charged tuition for courses dropped during this time, and dropped courses do not appear on the student's transcript. Courses can be added and dropped on SSOL during this period unless they require permission of the instructor and/or the department offering the course. In such cases, students must bring to the Registrar's office a completed
Add/Drop form , with the required signatures giving approval.
Students who wish to take a course for R credit should read
carefully the instructions here.
After the First Two Weeks of the Term
After the change of program period, students may no longer add courses and registration on SSOL is closed. Students who wish to drop a class must come in person to the Registrar's Office with a completed Add/Drop form.
Students who wish to drop a course after the change of program period and before the last day to drop a course receive no tuition refund.
