Project 1000 Applicants

Dear Prospective Project 1000 Applicant:

As of January 3, 2008, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS) at Columbia University will no longer participate in Project 1000. Students interested in applying for this year must apply independently of Project 1000 by submitting the GSAS online application .

GSAS does not accept Project 1000 applications or admissions documents. However, the Graduate School will honor the fee waiver agreement with Project 1000 until January 3, 2008. Project 1000 will notify GSAS of your eligibility as a Project 1000 student. It is not necessary for students to contact GSAS to inform us of your status within the organization.

Please note the GSAS online application does not allow students to access detailed application instructions or print prior to beginning the application process. Students are able to begin the application process and make regular updates without officially submitting the document until the student is ready to submit.

Once you have thoroughly read the information about preparing the application and other information on the OMA website as well as your department of interest, you are welcome to contact the Office of Minority Affairs with specific inquires that have not been addressed by the website.

Thank you for your interest in the Graduate School and we wish you success as you prepare your application!

Best Regards,

Office of Minority Affairs
