Kate joined the Alice! staff in June of 2007.  She coordinates the AlcoholEDU and BASICS programs. Kate is originally from Philadelphia, but moved to Baltimore in 2002 to complete her BA in Psychology at Towson University. She left for a short period of time to live abroad in Barcelona, but while at Towson, Kate was a proud Drug, Alcohol, and Sexual Assault Peer Educator.  After graduating, Kate worked at the Baltimore County Bureau of Substance Abuse and at an inpatient psychiatric facility in Baltimore. Kate is now a graduate student, completing her masters in psychological counseling. Her interests within the field include: social comparison, college student adjustment, ethnic identity formation, transracial adoption, and multicultural counseling. In her spare time, Kate enjoys riding Amtrak across the Northeast to visit friends, practicing her Spanish skills, eating chocolate, and visiting Chipotle restaurants throughout the US. 
Education
  • BA in Psychology from Towson University
  • Currently completing Masters of Education in Psychological Counseling at Teachers College

  • Therapy Assistant at Sheppard Pratt Psychiatric Hospital in Balitmore, Maryland
  • Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist and Leadership Trainer for Baltimore County Bureau of Substance Abuse
