Journalism and communications majors at the graduate and undergraduate level who are of Greek American heritage may apply for annual scholarships given in the amount of $5,000 in memory of Peter Agris, the late founder and publisher of The Hellenic Chronicle. Preservation Program in Athens, January 2012

A 12-day visit of Athens involving a series of lectures and tours lead by Athenian architects, historians, conservators and planners who have been dealing with the issues of preserving monuments and cultural heritage. Subjects covered will include: History and evolution of the city; art and culture of the city over time; conservation of the major archaeological monuments; the modern city and the archaeological areas; modern urban development and architecture. STATE SCHOLARSHIP TO FOREIGNERS

The State Scholarships Foundation (Ι.Κ.Υ.) announces that it will offer up to sixty (60) scholarships to foreigners

(or foreign nationals of Greek descent) from countries worldwide in order to attend courses and seminars in the

Modern Greek Language and Culture. For more information click here.

 

THE PANHELLENIC SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation is pleased to announce its 2011 application is now available online.

Interested students can go to www.panhellenicscholarships.org/apply.php to download the complete application.

The application deadline is January 31, 2012.

The Foundation will once again offer $250,000 to forty (40) deserving students based on both merit and financial need.

Twenty (20) $10,000 awards will be given based on scholastic achievement and financial need, along with twenty (20)

$2,500 awards based solely on academic merit. All applications are reviewed by an Academic Committee separate

from the Foundation's Board of Directors, comprised of individuals from various educational disciplines and backgrounds.

 

THE GREEK AMERICA FOUNDATION

The Greek America Foundation is pleased to announce the Hellenic Legacy Scholarship for college students participating

in study abroad at DEREE – The American College of Greece in Athens for the 2012 Spring semester which runs from

February to June, 2012. The scholarship includes the cash equivalent of full tuition for a semester.
