DRIVER INSTRUCTIONS
1) Get certified to be a driver (Contact Corinne if you would like to become one)
2) Pick the date you can drive and send the information to Corinne (by the 15th of the preceeding month if possible).
3) Pick up the van keys the day before or the Friday before the trip from the building supervisors's office in the gym.
4) Get in touch with the leader of the hike, exchange cell-phone numbers (to get in touch in case there is a problem wiith the van) and let them know that you have the van keys and to check if there are any last-minute issues (such as weather).
5) The vans are in the 119th st tunnel. Pick up the van at 7:45 and drive to 116th and Amsterdam to pick up the hikers. You need to get security to open the gate on 119 and Amsterdam for you. You stop by the security office in the south-east corner of Low Library on the way to the van, or call them (854-1754) 10 minutes before you plan to drive the van out.
6) Pick up the hikers and fill up gas if necessary at the gas station at the western end of 125th st. All you need to do is give them a signature and no money. The van should have had at least a half tank of gas when you picked it up (if not note this on the mileage form) and it should have a half tank when you park it.
7) Complete the form and return the form and the keys to the building supervisor (office on the left when you first walk in Dodge Fitness Center).

Note: Sometimes there will be problems with the van. It will be
blocked, or missing. If that is the case, please contact the building
supervisor who will be in the Gym from 7 AM. The Supervisor for
Saturday is Tara Davis (x43441) and for Sunday it is Erich Ely
(x47149). They have spare keys, and may be able to find a replacement
van if needed.
