School of General Studies (including the GS/JTS Dual Degree Program)
The requirements for the major or concentration (minor) in history are the same as those for Columbia College.  History courses taken outside of Columbia and Barnard College that students wish to apply to the major or concentration are treated as transfer or study-abroad credits (see pp. 21– 22). General Studies students may declare a major or concentration by submitting a Major Declaration Form to the office of the GS Dean of Students.  A program of study should then be planned with a member of the UNDED. Note that unlike Columbia College, GS requires a major for graduation; a concentration (minor) alone is not sufficient. GS Forms are available in 403 Lewisohn.

The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science
Students earn a minor in history by completing a minimum of 15 points; transfer or study-abroad credits may not be applied.  There are no distribution or seminar requirements.  Major and concentration requirements for students in the 4-1 program and the 3-2 program with Columbia College are the same as those for Columbia College.

School of Continuing Education
Requirements for students in the Second Majors Program are the same as  those for students in Columbia College.
