Commencement HousingCongratulations to all graduates and their parents and families. Columbia University Conference Housing Services is pleased to be able to help you celebrate the graduation of your son and/or daughter. Conference Housing offers room packages in Carman Hall to parents and families during the week of graduation, beginning Monday, May 18, 2009 to Thursday, May 21, 2009.

AccommodationsFamilies may rent either a double room or a suite, which includes two rooms and a shared bathroom, in Carman Hall during graduation week. Each room has two twin-sized beds and is fully furnished with standard residence hall furnishings. Although bed linens, a pillow, a blanket, and towels are provided, guests may wish to bring other personal items such as an alarm clock, hangers, and extra towels for their personal use. Bathrooms are cleaned daily, while bedrooms are the responsibility of the guest. Please note: If you rent only one room, you will share the bathroom with the party in the adjacent room. Amenities
RatesThe rate for Commencement rooms and suites will be determined and added to the website in mid-October. These rates include a three-night stay in Carman Hall. A limit of two rooms (one suite) may be reserved per graduating senior. Please check back again in mid-October for more information regarding room rates.Reservation InformationApplications for Commencement Housing at Columbia University will be available from this website beginning on Friday, February 13 at 10am. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents who do not have internet access may have their graduating seniors apply for them online or in person at 125 Wallach Hall. We accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover as payment. Your credit card will be billed automatically upon application and confirmation. Requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis until all rooms are filled. If you require wheelchair accessibility or visual strobe alarms, please let us know before you check in. Cancellation PolicyCancellations made before April 17 will be at no extra charge. However, those who cancel after April 17 will be charged a fee equal to the cost of the first night's room.
