Air Conditioning and Space HeatersAbout half of all residence halls feature central air conditioning. Air conditioned buildings include Broadway, Carman, East Campus, Furnald, and Schapiro. While most students do not consider it necessary, if you would like air conditioning, you should request accommodation in one of these buildings. For safety reasons, window-unit and portable air conditioners are not permitted in any residence hall or brownstone. If an air conditioning unit is discovered in your room, your unit will be confiscated and you will be subject to fines and Dean’s Discipline. If you require a space heater, you may request one from the Hospitality Desk. All requests are considered but not guaranteed. You may not provide your own space heater.
