Columbia University Housing

The following items are prohibited due to the potential injury and/or damage they could cause to our community. 

• Air rifles or air pistols,
• ammunition,
• firearms,
• fireworks,
• gunpowder,
• knives,
• swords,
• martial arts weapons,
• any other instrument that appears to be a weapon.

To the extent permitted by law, the University reserves the right to enter rooms to confiscate weapons for reasons of safety.
