Columbia University Housing

All residents must only occupy the room for which they have contracted. You may not swap or transfer rooms without approval from Housing Services and Residential Programs. You may not solicit a room swap with another student for reward or gain. You may not sublet or otherwise allow any part of the space assigned to you to be occupied by another person not duly assigned or authorized in writing by Housing Services.

If it is discovered that you have made an illegal swap, you will be charged a $165 fee, and you risk losing your guaranteed housing. Additionally, your lock will be changed within 24 hours. In order to gain access to your room, you must go to 125 Wallach during business hours to receive your new key.

Additionally, if you have failed to sign your Occupancy Agreement by 9am on the due date, you will be billed $100 a day until your agreement has been signed.
