Columbia University Housing

The following actions are in severe violation of University regulations and are punishable by permanent expulsion from University housing:

• gaining access to the roof of any building;
• throwing or dropping objects from windows and ledges, whether accidental or deliberate;
• sitting or standing on a window or building ledge or in any way allowing feet and/or legs to dangle over a ledge;
• placing items, including banners and flags, on ledges or allowing them to hang outside windows. Fraternities or Sororities looking to hang banners and flags to identify their Brownstone should work with Housing and Residential Programs to ensure these are hung safely and securely.
