On February 25, 2000, the University Senate adopted a sexual assault policy and disciplinary procedure. The sexual assault policy applies to all students in all schools of the University. All Columbia University undergraduate and graduate students can use the disciplinary procedure for sexual assault to file a complaint against a Columbia University student with the exception of those attending the Law School (which has its own disciplinary procedure).
