Cancelling Housing Occupancy Agreement

Should you wish to cancel your Occupancy Agreement during the occupancy period, specifics on cancellation charges and procedures are detailed in the Cancellation section of the Terms and Conditions of Residence. Housing Services must receive written notification of cancellation.

For cancellation prior to the beginning of the occupancy period, please note that there is a new Cancellation Schedule for 2008 that will become effective during Room Selection 2008. If you choose to cancel your Occupancy Agreement:

In addition, Housing Services may terminate your Occupancy Agreement and repossess the space assigned to you if you do not comply with the rules and regulations of the residence halls as outlined here and in the Terms and Conditions of Residence. You will be responsible for the daily room charge through the end of the day in which the effective date of cancellation occurs. Your Occupancy Agreement will be terminated should any of the following occur:

  • Your privilege of residing in Housing residence halls is withdrawn by any duly constituted University disciplinary authority as a result of your violation of University rules and regulations.
  • Before or during the occupancy period, you cease to meet the eligibility requirements as stated in the Terms and Conditions of Residence.
  • The University finds such action appropriate for reasons of health, safety, or emergency.

Your space is found to be occupied by anyone other than you, the authorized resident.
