Columbia University Housing

Columbia policy prohibits first-year students from living off campus (this includes Greek housing) at any time during their first year at Columbia, unless they are commuting from the home of their parent(s) or guardian. Exceptions to this policy are rarely granted and only with the approval of the Assistant Dean for Community Development and Residential Programs.
