Transfer or Exchange of Assignment

Transfer or exchange of assignment is at the discretion of Housing Services and is subject to the provisions of the Transfer Request and the Terms and Conditions of the Transfer, which may be obtained in 125 Wallach Hall. Upon approval for transfer, the resident must move and return keys from the old room within the same day the new Occupancy Agreement is signed. If keys are not returned the same day, the resident will incur charges for both rooms until keys for the old room are returned to the Hospitality Desk in the Hartley hall lobby.

Housing Services reserves the right to change an assignment for any reason at its discretion. Any resident who occupies any space other than the assigned space without written authorization from one of the Housing Services offices will be subject to a $100 charge to cover the University's administrative expense, and will be required to return to the assigned space unless such authorization is obtained.

Academic year Room Transfers start after 12:00pm on the first day of classes. They are processed in order of seniority and availability, and then by date of application. Transfers are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. These transfer requests must be approved by your RA and AD to be accepted.
