HarmonyHarmony Hall is the newest addition to Columbia University’s undergraduate housing, acquired in the Spring of 2009.It’s location on 110th Street, between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue, makes it a great choice for students who wish to live off-campus.The rooms will boast brand new furniture, a fresh coat of paint, and electronic locks on all of the doors, along with new flat-screen televisions in all of the lounges by the Fall of 2009. There will also be bicycle storage in the basement. The street address is 544 W. 110th Street. LayoutThere are 8 floors in Harmony Hall, with between 8-12 rooms of varying sizes per floor.The setup of Harmony is similar to River Hall, in that the rooms are arranged in a corridor-style setup.The mezzanine has a coed bathroom, floors 5 and 6 have 1 men's bathroom, 1 women's bathroom, and a coed bathroom. All other floors have separate men's and women's bathrooms. The rooms are mostly singles, with 5 double rooms on the second floor and one of the mezzanine level. Each floor has a kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, sink, and stove, and a common area with a flat-screen television (to be added over the summer) attached to the kitchen.There is a laundry room in the basement, and 2 printing stations will be added to the main lobby of the building over the summer. There will also be bicycle storage in the basement.
