Columbia University Housing

River is located across from campus on 114th Street, between Broadway and Riverside Drive. This residence hall is perfect for students who want the off-campus atmosphere.It also offers close proximity to Riverside Park, which many students walk through to get away from the city life. A tremendous renovation on this residence hall during the 2000-2001 academic year resulted in completely redesigned floors, lounges, and rooms. The street address for River Hall is 628 W. 114th Street.

Layout

River is a combination of both a suite-style and a corridor-style setting. There are two suites per floor, housing 10-12 people, and each room in the suite is arranged along corridors within the suite.The communal space within the suite is a separate room made up of a full kitchen on one side and a common room with cable television on the other side.
