Suite Selection

Suite Selection takes place in John Jay Lounge. No selections will be made on weekends/holidays. Group sizes can range from 2 to 8 and must be the exact size as the suite you wish to select (i.e. a group of 6 cannot select a 4-person suite plus a double room, a group of 4 cannot select a 5-person suite, or a group of 6 cannot select 3 doubles). Attention sophomores: double rooms are picked during Suite Selection, not General Selection.

Your group cannot enter John Jay Lounge until your appointment date/time, or without all members or their proxy's present. All members must show their valid CUID to pick a room.

If your group does not want or is unable to select a suite during Suite Selection, you will automatically drop to General Selection and receive a new appointment date and time (but keep your same lottery number). If one person in a group chooses to drop to General Selection, the entire group also drops.

New in 2009:
Groups of 5 seniors have the option to pick into an EC Exclusion Suite. Also, sophomore groups in Suite Selection have the option to split up into groups of 2 and pick into corridor-style doubles during Sophomore Pair Up.

Remember: All of the doubles in Broadway Residence Hall, McBain, Schapiro, and Wien will be available in Suite Selection to groups of 2 students of the same gender. Larger groups may not select multiple doubles at their selection appointment time. Hartley and Wallach Halls are part of the LLC, and will not be available during Room Selection. To live in Hartley or Wallach, you must apply separately via an application from the Dean of the LLC in Wallach Hall.
