Columbia University Housing

Priority in the Room Selection Process is determined by a point-value system based on seniority. Priority is assigned:

• rising seniors = 30 pts.
• rising juniors = 20 pts.
• rising sophomores = 10 pts.

Please note that priority is based on the year you entered Columbia and your terms in housing and does not benefit those graduating early.

Groups participating in Suite Selection, or for those applying as a group in General Selection, will be given a priority point value based on the average value of all Columbia students in the group (BC students are not figured into the average).
