Columbia University Housing

Students who lose their right to guaranteed housing (See Assignment Policies for reasons) are not eligible to participate in the Room Selection process. Non-guaranteed students must submit a Housing Application for every semester that they are requesting housing. Applicants are prioritized on a Wait List according to class standing and proximity to campus. As rooms become available, either prior to or after the start of the semester, Wait Listed applicants are assigned to the existing vacancies once all the guaranteed students are assigned.
