Eligibility

Students over the age of 18 who plan to enroll in ALP (American Language Program) Summer Institute courses during the summer through the School of Continuing Education at Columbia University are eligible for summer housing. We do not offer housing to married couples or children.

Buildings Available

Due to summer renovations, Schapiro is the only building available for ALP Housing. All rooms are double rooms with a community kitchen and communal bathrooms on each floor.

Application Information

ALP Housing Application

Applications for ALP Housing will be accepted until the deadline on April 18. We are only able to guarantee housing for the bed capacity listed under each session. Once all the spaces are filled, the application will be removed.If more spaces become available, the application will be online again.A non-refundable $50 application fee will be added to your total housing bill for the summer. Please register for ALP Housing based on the Session(s) you will be in residence:
Full Summer Session (May 26 - August 9) - 42 double beds

Summer Session A (May 26 - June 21) - 20 double beds

Summer Session B (June 22 - August 9) - 40 double beds

Summer Session B2 (July 13 - August 9) - 60 double beds

Cancellation Policy

Please use the Cancellation Form to cancel your room. There is a non-refundable $50 application fee, and there will be no credits or refunds for late arrivals, early departures, or cancellations.
