| Inaguration Film Festival (in collaboration with LABA) March 31st. Spring 2004 |
The first movie shown in Iberia's Spanish Film Festival, will be "Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios" ("Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown"), directed by Pedro Almodovar in 1987. The movie deserved more than fifty national and international awards, including an Oscar nomination, and has achieved a total success of public and critic since the eighties. A "white comedy" about the break up of a couple of dubbing actors, it offers not only the best and most representative of Almodovar's talent and style, but also a worthy image of the Spanish eagerness of freedom, humour and vitality of the late eighties. Starring Carmen Maura, Antonio Banderas, Fernando Guillen, Rossy de Palma and Kity Manver, among others.
Free food and drinks will be provided at 7pm.
