The Institute of Latin American Studies at Columbia University is pleased to announce its support to the Organizing Committee of XIV Encuentro de Graduados y Estudiantes en Relaciones Internacionales del Conosur (XIV CONOSUR) & XIII Encontro Nacional de Estudantes de Relações Internacionais (XIII ENERI). The event will take place in Ribeirão Preto in the state of São Paulo, Brazil from May 14 to 18, 2008. The conference this year expects to bring 2,500 scholars, professionals, graduate and undergraduate students from all Latin America, USA, and Europe. The focus will be on sustainable development issues, drawing attention to the ethanol production and carbon market.
