Society for International Undergraduates Check out what's coming up by clicking here! Who we are: The Society
for International Undergraduates is the official student group for international
and internationally-minded students of Columbia University's four undergraduate
colleges (BC, CC, GS, SEAS). What we do: Throughout the year, we organize regular general meetings, an International Trivia Competition (Quizbowl) as well as outtings to restaurants. Every year, we also hold the SIU World Cup, a soccer tournament which involves teams representing different nations or regions. We put a large focus on helping incoming international students ease into the new environment, by sending them custom-made welcome packets, outlining useful information and tips, before they arrive in the US. In addition to the welcome packets, we are also making improvements on the overall orientation for international students. Over the past few years, we have taken strides towards implementing an orientation just for international students! This year, we will start a support network just for international students; someone from your own country or region that you can help you out before you arrive at Columbia and even after you arrive! How to get involved : If you have any ideas for a new event or want to help out with anything , feel free to email us at siu@columbia.edu To receive information and newsletters about our events, you can join our mailing list by: 1) Subscribing via the automated mailing list (Click here). You will receive further instructions in the confirmation email. 2) Alternatively, you can enter your email below to join our mailing list. Only do so if method 1 doesn't work as this is slower.
