SIU World Cup - April 2007

Our biggest event of the year, SIU World Cup, is a soccer tournament that involves teams representing different countries or regions. Come compete against other teams, have lots of fun and win big prizes! Email worldcup2007.siu@gmail.com if you are interested in competing!

Write to International Students! - March/April 2007

Write to admitted international students and/or sign up to become a mentor. We want to create a smooth transition for international students and help them learn more about Columbia through a welcome packet from, by and for students. We have been granted permission by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to send out our own packet to international students. The mailing will include: a handwritten postcard by a current student, a welcome letter, a pamphlet about international campus life, a list of student mentors and a "Things I wish I knew when packing for Columbia" tip sheet. Everyone is welcome. Pizza and refreshments will be served.

Please email us at siu@columbia.edu if you are interested in improving international orientation. We are currently meeting with the administration and brainstorming on how international students can benefit more from orientation.
