Professor Gregory's research interests include race and gender studies, urban ethnography, political economy and globalization. His work has appeared in the American Ethnologist, Cultural Anthropology, Public Culture and Social Text. He is the author of Black Corona (1998), Santeria: A Study in Cultural Resistance (1999) and the co-editor of Race (1994).
