University Apartment Housing (UAH) is a division of Residential and Commercial Operations and manages residential units in the immediate vicinity of the Morningside Heights campus. This housing is primarily used to house faculty, students, and certain eligible officers of research, libraries and administration. The UAH inventory includes apartments of sizes appropriate to the family needs of faculty and staff. The student housing inventory consists of apartment shares, dormitory-style rooms, and a very limited number of studio, one bedroom and family units.
Housing for Students
Working together with the schools' Housing Liaisons, the UAH leasing staff oversees the application, assignment, wait list, transfer and billing procedures for housing for UAH eligible students.
Housing for Faculty and Staff
Faculty and Staff Housing personnel work closely with the University's Housing Priorities Committee which determines policies and priorities for the allocation of housing to eligible faculty and staff.
Housing for Post Doctoral Fellows
The UAH staff works closely with the deans and departmental representatives from the various schools at the University to determine priorities for the allocation of housing to eligible Post Doctoral Fellows.
