One safe way to get around the Morningside Heights area at night is to use the Columbia University Morningside Shuttle Bus. The 15-passenger van , driven by a uniformed driver, departs every half-hour between 7pm and 2am thoughout the academic year, and makes 16 stops between 109th and 125th Streets.
Admission is free with a valid Columbia ID. Please allow a three-minute overlap before and af ter each time frame to account for unforeseen conditions. Route is subject to change due to road construction in the area.
